About Us
Geo-Rope Ltd is a specialist geotechnical and rope access contractor delivering complex infrastructure, stabilisation and inspection works across the UK. Our projects include bridge inspections and maintenance, slope stabilisation, tunnel works, and coastal protection schemes, supported by a highly skilled rope access team working to IRATA standards.
The Role
We are looking to recruit experienced Rope Access Technicians who hold both IRATA certification and ICATS training to support ongoing and upcoming projects.
You will be responsible for carrying out rope access operations safely and efficiently, supporting a range of geotechnical and civil engineering activities including inspections, maintenance, and coating works.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out rope access works in accordance with IRATA requirements and company procedures
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary site team delivering geotechnical and construction activities
- Follow approved RAMS, site safety procedures, and industry best practice
- Assist with inspection, maintenance, installation, and coating works as required
- Support rescue plans and emergency procedures under supervision of IRATA Level 3 personnel
- Maintain a high standard of health & safety awareness and compliance on all sites
- Ensure equipment checks and proper use in line with LOLER and company procedures
Requirements
- IRATA Level 1, 2 or 3 certification (essential)
- ICATS certification (essential)
- Experience working in rope access environments within construction, infrastructure or industrial settings
- Strong understanding of site safety and working at height regulations
- Ability to work as part of a team and in challenging environments
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
Desirable
- Confined space training
- CSCS card (ICATS card typically satisfies this requirement if valid)
- Experience in geotechnical works (rock stabilisation, scaling, netting, etc.)
- Additional plant or specialist qualifications
