Y.E.S. Your Equipment Solutions Ltd is looking for an experienced and motivated Small Tool Fitter to join our busy Glasgow depot team.

The Role
As a Small Tool Fitter & Plant, you will be responsible for the repair, servicing, maintenance, and inspection of a wide range of plant and tool hire equipment.
Working closely with our Asset & Plant Director & experienced Workshop team of testers, small tool fitters and engineers across all our depots, you will help ensure our equipment is maintained to the highest standard and ready to meet customer demand.
We are looking for someone who is hands-on, proactive, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and test equipment before hire
- Diagnose faults, repair, service, and maintain plant and tool hire equipment
- Carry out mechanical and basic electrical repairs efficiently and safely
- Accurately complete service records and maintenance documentation
- Deliver high-quality workmanship
- Work collaboratively within a close-knit depot team
- Respond quickly and effectively to repair priorities
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working with plant and tool hire equipment
- Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance background as an Engineer, Fitter, or Technician
- Experience diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults
- Competent working with small tools, 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines, Diesel-powered equipment, and Basic electrical systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
Desirable:
Experience working with recognised hire industry brands such as:
- Hilti, Stihl, Makita, Husqvarna, Belle, etc
Monday to Friday 7:00am – 5:00pm
Competitive salary: £30,000 – £33,000 per year (dependent on experience & qualifications)
