Full job description

Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Bank Staff Practitioners/Assistants to join our childcare team. The position is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education and looking to gain valuable experience within a nurturing environment, supporting the development and well-being of young children.

As Bank Staff we require the candidate to be able to work between the hours of 7.30-6.00pm, Monday - Friday and be full flexible over the week to cover staff illness, holidays, lunch and tea breaks. The main hours of the position will be between the hours of 11.30am-3.30pm.

Responsibilities

Supporting the delivery of high-quality early years education and care in accordance with local authority guidelines and policies.
Assisting with daily routines such as play, meal times, nappy changing, and rest periods.
Engaging children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, development, and socialisation.
Supervising children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
Supporting the planning and organisation of activities that stimulate curiosity and creativity.
Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
Assisting with maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children.
Adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.

Experience

Previous experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
Knowledge of early childhood development principles is advantageous.
Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members.
Experience in childcare or nursery environments will support your ability to adapt quickly to various settings.
This role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute positively to children's early years development while gaining practical experience within a supportive team environment.
