The role:

The department is Gynaecology. We are predominantly a surgical ward. We look after pregnant patients up to 12 weeks gestation with various issues as well as oncology patients.
The ward has a mini emergency dept within it. We see emergencies from GP/A&E plus provide some return appointments through this service also.
All other roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.

Key responsibilities:
- Post op care

Admissions/Discharges
-
Basic patient care, helping with daily ADLs.

Catheter care and venflon management.

Venepuncture, IV administation, Hepma, palliative care

Observations and NEWS recording,

MUST scoring,

Active care/fluid balance/food record charts,

Admin and IT systems
-
Learnpro and Infection control measures.
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
- Registered Nurse on the NMC Register
