We are looking for an experienced, organised and enthusiastic Event Manager assist the Director and to lead our events team and help drive the business forward.
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning and successful delivery of hundreds of events each year.
You'll lead our team of Event Coordinators, manage client relationships from booking through to event delivery, work closely with our kitchen team, and build strong relationships with venues and suppliers across Yorkshire.
This role would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading people and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Planning & Delivery
- Oversee the planning and coordination of all weddings, corporate events and private celebrations.
- Ensure every event is delivered to the highest possible standard.
- Create detailed event schedules, running orders and action plans.
- Attend key events to support the team and ensure operational excellence.
- Resolve issues quickly and professionally when they arise.
Team Management
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of three Event Coordinators.
- Hold regular one-to-one meetings and team planning sessions.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and training.
- Manage staff rotas and workloads to ensure efficient resource planning.
- Encourage a positive, supportive and solutions-focused team culture.
Client Experience
- Maintain exceptional communication with clients throughout their planning journey.
- Conduct venue visits, planning meetings and final detail appointments.
- Ensure every couple and client receives outstanding customer service.
- Handle any client concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Venue & Supplier Relationships
- Build and maintain strong relationships with venues across Yorkshire.
- Regularly visit venue partners and network within the hospitality industry.
- Attend wedding fairs, showcases and networking events.
- Develop new venue partnerships and identify opportunities for growth.
- Maintain excellent relationships with hire companies and suppliers.

Operations & Logistics
- Coordinate equipment hire and ensure all event requirements are booked accurately.
- Oversee staffing requirements for each event.
- Ensure vehicles, equipment and event logistics are organised efficiently.
- Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth event delivery.
- Monitor stock levels and identify operational improvements.
Sales & Business Development
- Support the sales team in converting enquiries into confirmed bookings.
- Conduct venue show rounds and client consultations where required.
- Identify opportunities to increase average booking values through upselling.
- Help achieve monthly sales targets.
- Develop new business opportunities through networking and relationship building.
Marketing
- Work alongside the marketing team to showcase events and behind-the-scenes content.
- Identify opportunities for social media, PR and client testimonials.
- Support promotional campaigns, wedding fairs and seasonal marketing.
- Encourage venue collaborations and styled shoots.
Financial & Commercial Responsibilities
- Monitor event budgets and profitability.
- Review staffing costs and operational efficiencies.
- Ensure hire costs and supplier invoices remain within budget.
- Help improve gross profit through effective planning and organisation.
- Support business reporting and forecasting.
Continuous Improvement
- Review event feedback and implement improvements.
- Develop new systems and processes to improve efficiency.
- Look for innovative ways to enhance the client experience.
- Support the Directors in achieving long-term business goals.
About You
You'll be someone who genuinely loves hospitality and enjoys making things happen.
You'll have:
- Previous experience managing weddings, events or hospitality operations.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Strong leadership and people management experience.
- Outstanding communication skills.
- A calm approach under pressure.
- Commercial awareness and strong attention to detail.
- Confidence managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office and event planning software.
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to roll your sleeves up.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
