Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Your ability to work efficiently and maintain food safety standards will contribute to our commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and marinating as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food preparation and handling.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety procedures as required.

Skills

Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant setting.
Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in the kitchen.
