Security Guard – Manned Guarding

Location: Hastings Road, Leicester

Job Purpose

To provide a professional and effective security presence, ensuring the safety and security of the site, its employees, visitors, contractors, and assets. The Security Guard will be responsible for access control and maintaining a safe and secure environment through vigilance and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain a visible and professional security presence at all times.
Control access to the site by verifying the identity of employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel.
Operate the site's gatehouse, controlling the safe entry and exit of vehicles and pedestrians.
Report all incidents, accidents, and concerns to the Site Supervisor or Management in a timely manner.
Ensure all gates, barriers, doors, and security systems are operated correctly and remain secure.
Prevent unauthorised access, theft, vandalism, and damage to company property.
Work in accordance with company policies, site assignment instructions, health and safety regulations, and legal requirements.

Person Specification

Essential

Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard Licence.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional appearance and courteous manner.
Good observation and problem-solving skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure.
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
Flexible to work days, nights and public holidays on a shift basis.

Desirable

Previous experience in manned guarding, gatehouse, or reception security.
Experience working within industrial, commercial, or construction sites.

Working Conditions

Shift work, including days, nights and bank holidays.
Site-based, working within gatehouse, reception, and external areas.

Site Operations Manager/Security Manager

Performance Expectations

Maintain a professional and courteous approach at all times.
Ensure strict compliance with site procedures and security protocols.
Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining effective security standards.
Demonstrate vigilance, integrity, and accountability in all aspects of the role.

Full training given on site. Position to be filled by week commencing 20.07.26. Salary to be arranged.
