Full job description

HR Assistant - South Liverpool

The rewards

£23,500 - £25,000 (depending on experience)
Term-time working + 2 additional weeks for a strong work-life balance

Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm
Term time plus 2 weeks

The role of HR Assistant:

Provide essential administrative support across the full employee lifecycle
Coordinating end-to-end recruitment processes, from advertising roles and managing applications through to onboarding new starters
Supporting monthly payroll activities and maintaining accurate employee records
Assisting with absence management and probation processes, including meeting coordination and reporting
Maintaining HR records in line with GDPR and data protection requirements
Administering training, CPD, appraisal, and performance management processes
Producing HR reports and analysing workforce data to support decision-making
Identifying opportunities to improve processes and maximise efficiency through systems and technology

The ideal HR Assistant:

Previous experience in an HR support or administrative role (education or public sector desirable)
Working knowledge of HR processes and employment legislation
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
Confident communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters professionally
A high level of discretion and commitment to confidentiality
CIPD Level 3 (or currently studying / willing to work towards) - desirable
Experience supporting payroll or high-volume recruitment - desirable

This is a permanent role within the education sector.
