Full job description

LABELLING & SHRINK WRAPPING MACHINE SETTER AND OPERATOR AND PROCESS WORKER - MONDAY TO THURSDAY, 8am - 4.30pm & FRIDAY 7AM - 3:30pm

We are a family owned business manufacturing food in jars for supermarkets, wholesalers and independent retailers.

Role Responsibility
We are currently looking for a trainee process worker who will be required to setup and operate machines. The main purpose of this role is to operate the labelling and shrink wrapping machines and work on the production line. This is a key role in our business. You will be required to setup the machines for operations and label accurately, wrap neatly and securely shrink wrap cases of jars and palletise accurately according to set patterns, keeping the area clean and tidy. You will work in a warehouse environment. Full training will be given, however, some experience of operating machinery is an advantage.

Hours
8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday & Friday 7am - 3:30pm

Flexibility towards working hours a must as some days we may run over 4.30pm

Full training will be given.

The Ideal Candidate will have the following skills / qualities

Able to understand and follow instructions
Good literacy and numeracy skills
Flexible approach to work
Accurate work ethic and attention to detail
Willingness to learn new skills
Work as part of a team and on your own
A 'Can do' attitude

Desirable skills but not essential

Factory experience
Awareness of health and safety rules and procedures
Understanding of food safety

Please note the role is the situation between Wheldrake, York, YO19 6NA please consider your ability to travel to and from work prior to the application
