Job summary
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated team lead to join Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust School Age Immunisation Service.
You will work in partnership with the Clinical Team Lead within the locality immunisation team. You will manage and lead a team of immunisation nurses and administrative staff to deliver a safe and effective childhood immunisation programme for school aged children across Hampshire.
Your role will include working in partnership with the school nursing service, Education including Elective Home Educated service. Hampshire & Isle of Wight Healthcare is committed to improving the quality of child health services across Hampshire.
You will demonstrate clinical expertise and governance in all aspects of the service including safeguarding children whilst being supported by robust organisational supervision, guidelines, and policies.
You must be either RN or RM qualified and have current NMC registration.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm. Happy to discuss flexible working around the number of days a week that you work but due to the nature of the role the hours each day will need to be as stated. This position can be Term Time only or all year round.

Main duties, tasks & skills required
The role includes leading the locality immunisation team to deliver commissioned elements of the school age immunisation programme, to children and young people aged 4-18 years.
The role includes providing clinical leadership and support to the immunisation nurses and administrative support staff to support the delivery of a quality service to children, young people, and families.
Promote and support an effective team ethos using excellent communication skills, so that team objectives are understood and achieved
To be the principal point of contact for schools within the area in relation to immunisation. To lead the development of co-operative working arrangements within these schools that support healthy outcomes for children.
