As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to support our procurement function and ensure the smooth and efficient supply of products and services across the business.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting the buyer and the purchasing function, ensuring that purchase orders are placed accurately, deliveries are on time, orders and pricing is updated and supplier relationships are maintained professionally.

This is a very fast-paced, detail-focused role where organisation and system accuracy are critical and where a good accurate memory will serve you well.

Key Responsibilities

Raising and processing purchase orders accurately and efficiently
Raising Purchase Returns accurately and efficiently
Assisting with Ebay and Amazon Sales administration
Chasing suppliers for pricing, order confirmations and delivery updates
Monitoring and updating expected delivery dates (ETAs)
Maintaining accurate product data in internal systems
Assisting with updating supplier pricing
Supporting stock replenishment and availability across sites
Assisting with day-to-day supplier communication
Resolving basic invoice or delivery discrepancies
Working closely with buyer, warehouse, logistics, and sales teams

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

Strong maths skills

Strong organisational and administrative skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Confident communicator (email and phone)
Fantastic IT skills, particularly Excel and internal systems
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Desirable:

Previous experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role
Experience working in a technical, engineering, or distribution business
Familiarity with ERP/stock management systems
Working towards or interested in CIPS qualification

Hours of Work: Full-time Monday – Thursday 9am to 5pm Friday 9am to 4pm

Annual Leave: 22 days, accruing extra days for each full year of service up to 25 days.
