Steel Erector / Steel Fitter
Based in or around the Sheffield / Chesterfield area, working within the Yorkshire Water and Severn Trent region with national coverage support.
In this role, you will work as part of a small team installing access metalwork solutions, primarily (but not exclusively) within the water treatment industry.
What you'll be doing:
- Installing access metalwork across a range of contracts, mainly within the water treatment sector (though not limited to this industry)
- Working from detailed drawings, including marking out and setting out
- Installing and assembling steel sections, open flooring systems, and handrails
- Measuring, cutting, and forming handrail tubing
- Aligning and levelling steelwork prior to fixing
Drilling and securing steelwork, including fixing handrail systems to concrete

About you:
- Hold a valid CSCS card (including Slinger/Signaller where applicable)
- Confined Space trained
- IPAF certified operator
- Trained in working at height
- City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3 (or equivalent) preferred
- Abrasive Wheels certification
- Forklift truck and/or telehandler licence
- SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme)
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Confident in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Hold a valid UK driving licence
- Experience in a similar role or environment
Strong commitment to health and safety, with knowledge of SSOW and RAMS
