Job Summary

Broder Metals Group is a Sheffield-based international stockist, distributor & converter of corrosion and creep resistant metals for the oil & gas, power generation, aerospace, nuclear and motorsport industries.

We are seeking a Management Accountant to join the business. The successful applicant will have responsibility for Credit Control as well as a wide range of accounts preparation duties, as detailed below. The role would suit someone who is nearing the end of their studies with CIMA or ACCA or who is newly qualified, and is now looking to take on greater responsibility compared to a training role. You will report directly to the CEO, and have an Accounts & Admin Assistant working with you.

Duties

Month-end accounts closure (reconciliations, calculation of sales commissions, and journal posting) and Reporting
All aspects of Credit control, such as but not limited to, chasing all debts to ensure that all accounts are paid within the agreed terms, posting cash receipts and reconciling customer accounts, managing customer queries through the relevant departments, and running credit checks for the Sales team
Preparing and submitting the monthly VAT submissions
Supporting and developing the Accounts & Admin Assistant through their training
Coordination of Accounts Payable and oversight of other general accounts work (petty cash, expenses, etc)
Working with the external Auditors at year-end, and handling accounts queries from the Group

Pay: £33,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
