Role Overview
The Quality Systems Coordinator will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of CK Rail’s Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring alignment with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, and ISO27001 standards.
This is an entry-level development role designed to provide exposure to quality systems, compliance, auditing, and continuous improvement within the rail industry. Working closely with the Chief Compliance Officer and wider teams, the role will support embedding a culture of quality, compliance, and operational excellence across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Integrated Management System (IMS) Support
· Assist in maintaining CK Rail’s Integrated Management System (IMS).
· Support the review and update of policies, procedures, and documentation.
· Help ensure consistency of processes across departments and projects.
Auditing & Compliance Support
· Assist in planning and conducting internal audits.
· Support the preparation of audit reports and documentation.
· Help track corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to completion.
· Support preparation for external audits (ISO, RISQS, etc.).
Process Improvement
· Support the identification of process improvements and efficiencies.
· Assist in root cause analysis activities (e.g., 5 Whys).
· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Training & Awareness
· Support delivery of IMS awareness and quality training.
· Assist in promoting a culture of quality, compliance, and best practice.
Supplier Quality Support
· Assist in monitoring supplier quality performance and documentation.
· Support supplier audits and communicate findings internally.
· Work with Procurement to ensure supplier compliance with IMS requirements.
Information Security Risk Support (ISO standards as applicable to CK Rail Solutions)
· Support maintenance of risk registers (including information security risks).
· Assist in tracking risk treatment actions and updates.
· Support internal reviews of compliance with ISO27001-aligned processes.
Documentation and Reporting
· Maintain accurate and controlled documentation within the IMS.
· Support reporting on audits, compliance performance, and KPIs.
· Assist in preparing data for management reviews and audits.
Qualifications and Experience
Knowledge & Skills
· Strong attention to detail and organisation skills.
· Good written and verbal communication skills.
· Analytical mindset with willingness to learn problem-solving techniques.
· Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable (Not Essential)
· Awareness of ISO standards or management systems.
· Interest in auditing, compliance, or risk management.
· Knowledge of rail, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
