Overview

We’re looking for a friendly, confident and enthusiastic Coffee Shop Assistant to join our growing team at The Lodge Coffee House, located on the beautiful Rossington Hall Estate.

Due to high levels of trade, we’re expanding our team and need someone who loves working with people, enjoys a fast-paced environment, and brings a positive attitude every shift. We’re in a rural location, but there is a bus stop right outside, making travel easy.

This role is perfect for someone who is bubbly, chatty and eager to learn — no experience is required, as full training will be provided.

Hours & Shifts

Open 7 days a week
Coffee shop opening hours: 9am – 4pm
Weekday and weekend shifts available

Duties

Greeting customers warmly and creating a welcoming atmosphere
Taking orders confidently and providing excellent customer service
Serving food and drinks efficiently during busy periods
Assisting with simple food prep and handling baked goods / light meals
Keeping the front-of-house clean, tidy and well-presented at all times
Clearing tables, maintaining seating areas and supporting smooth service
Handling payments and using the till / POS system accurately
Restocking supplies and helping the team stay organised during rushes
Working as part of a supportive team to deliver quick, friendly service

Skills & Requirements

A confident, friendly personality (must be happy speaking to customers!)
Reliable, punctual and hard-working
Willingness to learn and take direction
Able to stay calm and helpful in busy periods
Team player with a positive attitude
Hospitality experience is a bonus but not essential

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £7.55-£12.21 per hour
