We have a vacancy for a Head of HR and Resourcing to provide commercially focused people, employment and resourcing leadership across Hargreaves Industrial Services, acting as a trusted partner to the Divisional Managing Director and Senior Management Team.
As Head of HR and Resourcing, you will lead the divisional people strategy, provide operational and employment advice, support effective decision-making, mitigate risk and drive performance. The role will also oversee resourcing, HR governance, employee relations, procurement interfaces, support services and workforce infrastructure to ensure the division remains compliant, future-proofed and aligned to its strategic and financial objectives.
The role briefly encompasses the following duties: -
Support HIS strategy development and lead delivery of the divisional HR and people agenda.
Act as a trusted partner to the Divisional Managing Director, Senior Management Team and senior leaders, providing commercially focused people and employment advice.
Lead HR strategy, planning and change across the division, including talent, succession, development, employee relations and workforce planning.
Coach senior leaders, support leadership forums and contribute to tender activity with people, cost and mobilisation planning.
Ensure HR governance, compliance, reporting and employment law requirements are effectively managed across the division.
Oversee recruitment, pay, bonus, training frameworks, occupational health records and organisational processes.
Act as the Group interface for people and support services, including procurement, facilities, phones, vehicles, PPE, workwear and office support.
Manage related budgets, coordinate group and national contracts, and drive overhead performance and cost control.
Ensure appropriate support infrastructure is in place for the workforce, providing ongoing support to sites and operations as required.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience/ attributes:-
Educated to degree level and a Chartered member of the CIPD, or able to demonstrate an equivalent level of professional experience.
A minimum of five years' experience in a senior HR role within a high-risk or operational environment.
Broad knowledge of employment law, people planning, training and development, employee relations, TUPE and union relationships.
Experienced in developing and delivering people plans aligned to business strategy, goals and objectives.
Strong commercial awareness, with experience of P&L responsibility, cost control, contract structures and associated people risks.
Experienced in contract and supplier management, with the ability to balance financial, operational and client impacts in decision-making.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to influence, persuade and engage internal and external clients at all levels.
Able to work flexibly, travel across the UK and internationally as required, and interface confidently with Group functions.
