Monday – Friday: 0800 - 1230
Salary / Hourly Rate: £16,000 - £18,000 (pro rata)

We now have a fantastic career opportunity for a permanent Procurement Coordinator who has experience within an engineering/manufacturing environment.
You will be responsible for supporting the European Team (UK & Lupfig plant) with transactional processing in the MRP system. Purchase goods, materials and services to ensure that the company operational needs are met to ensure continuity of supply.
Key Tasks:
Mainly support the European Team (UK & Lupfig plant) with transactional processing in the MRP system.
Purchase goods, materials and services to ensure that the company operational needs are met to ensure continuity of supply
- Process order acknowledgements
- Process purchase order requisitions
- Process KANBAN cards
- Raise sub con orders (mainly UK)
- Liase with suppliers regarding missing documentation
- Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets
- Communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations
- Prepare, send and follow up basic enquiries with suppliers for consumables / adhesives / packaging etc
- Brief Line Manager and update other team members on issues or concerns, in particular when there is a risk which could prevent the organisation meeting customer demands or where there are over capacity concerns
- Work to standardised processes underpinned by continuous improvement
- Cross-training within the department to ensure full cover of all basic transactional activities
- Assist with any orderbook progessing / “CHASE” report
- Support in maintaining stock codes, costs, vendor contract & prices and product data in the company ERP (Syteline)
- Work with logistics, accounts and suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Previous experience within a Purchasing / Procurement role is essential
- Experience purchasing goods, materials and services
- Experience using ERP system and good computer / communication skills
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Previous experience within an engineering / manufacturing environment is preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
Desirable
- Awareness of complex supply chains
- German Language Skills
