Job Summary
To work closely with all Centre staff to engage with members of the community, service users and identified beneficiary groups to deliver a range of projects to all ages for the benefit of the local community
Build trust and good relationships with all and ensure all that attend the Centre are made to feel welcome
Responsibilities
To signpost Community members and give information, advice and guidance
To promote health and wellbeing through signposting to the Centre activities and external agencies
To be responsible for organising events in consultation with the community and Centre Manager
To liaise with the café team to organise catering for events and plan food related events where appropriate
To create displays and promote and publicise the Centre and its activities/services via social media and through liaison with external organisations
To provide information to the Centre Receptionist/Administrator for the Centre website
To ensure all relevant records required in the role are accurate and stored securely. Receive cash/cheque payments for groups and activities and recorded accurately for banking purposes securely.
To organise family and children’s activities during school holidays.
To organise and order resources for holiday activities, book trips, sessional workers and evaluate outcomes
To research and consult re opportunities for new courses and activities
To recruit volunteers and give support in line with policy and procedure
Legal responsibilities
To be responsible for the health and safety of self and others in line with the terms of the Health & Safety Policy
To follow and comply with all food hygiene procedures where appropriate
To comply with GDPR in line with the policy
To ensure that all responsibilities and activities are consistent with the terms of the Equality Diversity & Inclusion Policy
To record all accidents in the accident book
General Responsibilities
In the absence of colleagues ensure that any relevant tasks are undertaken for the smooth and efficient running of the Centre office
Support community need in line with ECP aims and objectives
To work as part of a team and share information with colleagues where appropriate
To promote services and activities through signposting within the Centre and to external agencies
Meet and greet people in the reception area and establish good relationships with partners and service users and the general public
Support the process for booking rooms when required
Answer the telephone and transfer to relevant person or take messages and relay to the relevant person when required
Promote and market all services offered in the building using a variety of methods including social media platforms
Attend and contribute to staff meetings
Attend and contribute to supervision/appraisal and staff training
Have a flexible approach to work in a frequently changing environment
To assist in collecting fees where appropriate
Occasionally to assist in the training of work experience placements
When necessary, work unsociable hours and weekends
Open up and locking up of the Centre ensuring the security of the building as required

Pay: £27,000.00-£30,290.00 per year
