GLL is looking for a Male Street Dance Teacher to work across schools and leisure centres the Royal Borough of Greenwich. If you know how to lock, pop and breakdance and love the freedom of freestyling, you could be our newest Hip Hop / Street Dance Teacher. At GLL, we’re expanding our dance programme and want to offer local people the opportunity to learn and develop street dance techniques. As a Hip Hop / Street Dance Teacher you’ll know how to give structure to your classes and keep your students engaged whether they’re beginners or professionals preparing for auditions. For Hip Hop / Street Dance teachers it’s not just about the practical sessions though as you’ll need to plan and prepare lessons and assess lessons.
For genuine occupational requirement reasons, we are looking to appoint a Male candidate (exemption under the Equality Act 2010, Part 1, Schedule 9
What you’ll do:
- Demonstrate the basics of street dance including locking, popping, break dance and hip hop
- Assess and record development
- Create choreography for performances
