Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pediatric Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for caring for children and possess excellent communication skills. The Pediatric Nurse will be responsible for providing specialised nursing care tailored to the needs of paediatric patients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being at all times.
Duties
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to paediatric patients in accordance with established care plans and protocols
- Monitor vital signs and assess the health status of young patients regularly
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and update individualised care plans
- Educate parents and guardians on post-treatment care, medication administration, and health maintenance strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatments, and observations
- Provide emotional support to children and their families during hospital visits or stays
- Lead and participate in team meetings to ensure high standards of paediatric care are maintained
- Assist in training junior staff or interns, fostering leadership qualities within the team
Qualifications
- recognised Nursing qualification with valid registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent in the UK
- Proven experience working with paediatric patients is highly desirable
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide and support junior team members
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively
- Exceptional communication skills to liaise confidently with children, families, and healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of current paediatric care standards and best practices
- Compassionate demeanour with a genuine interest in child health and development

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
