Job Title: Xerox Ricoh Digital Laser Printer Print Operative & Print Finisher
Reports to: Design Director & Production Manager
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
Working Hours: 37.5+ Hours per week – TBC
A terrific opportunity for an individual to run, take over and manage our busy and ever-growing digital department. From Pre Press to full Digital Printing. Working alongside the Digital Printing Director, this role should appeal to somebody looking to take their first steps within the Printing industry or somebody who already has experience running Ricoh & Xerox Laser Digital Printing Machines
Pre Press:
Preparation of print ready files for Digital, Screen and Litho,
Digital Printing:
Managing and running the digital department. We have various digital printing machines from Xerox V280 to Ricoh C7200X with White Ink
Print Finishing:
If you have some knowledge of print finishing, that would be advantageous
Responsibilities: Pre-Press & Digital Print and this may include:
- Running Digital Printing Machines (Ricoh Pro C7200X (CMYK+) & Xerox V280
- Understand how to use the “Fiery Software” for print.
- Using the Digital Foiling Machine and Digital Cutting / Creasing Machine
- Troubleshoot machine problems, resolve if possible
- Perform quality checks and finish complete printed jobs.
- Sending, receiving customer files
- Accurately planning, capturing, inputting and
- re-formatting customer requirements using different
- computer software packages - Adobe Illustrator,
- Photoshop, In-Design + Acrobat.
- Understanding and solving problems regarding colour management and proofing.
