Material Scheduler
This is a superb opportunity for a Material Scheduler to join the business through this rapid period of growth. The business is looking for a driven and motivated individual to support the Supply Chain team through these exciting times.
The Role
- Convert MRP requirements into supply orders
- Place orders in the ERP system in line with required lead times and quantities
- Check order acknowledgements and ensure alignment with requirements
- Monitor supplier orders through to delivery
- Anticipate and follow up on late deliveries
- Adjust dates and quantities in systems based on changes in demand or supply
- Identify risks of stock shortages and take proactive action
- Implement corrective actions including expedited shipments and rescheduling
- Escalate critical supply issues and coordinate action plans
- Monitor stock levels and prevent both overstock and shortages
- Contribute to safety stock management and planning parameter maintenance
- Participate in inventory counts and stock optimisation initiatives
- Maintain accurate master data within the ERP system, including lead times and MRP parameters
- Ensure the reliability and accuracy of planning-related information
- Track and report on supply chain performance indicators
- Work closely with planning, production, and logistics teams
- Communicate supply risks and propose effective solutions
- Participate in operational meetings, including daily reviews and S&OP activities
- Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Always demonstrate a customer-focused and professional attitude
- Work to Wiltech Acoustics procedures and utilise company systems effectively
The Person
- Previous experience in a Material Scheduler, Production Planner, Supply Chain, or Materials Control role
- Good understanding of MRP and ERP systems
- Experience managing supplier orders and delivery schedules
- Strong inventory management awareness
- Ability to identify and resolve supply chain issues proactively
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Competency in IT systems, particularly ERP platforms and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to continuous improvement
