Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team in the hospitality sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests. A background in hotel or hospitality services is advantageous, as we strive to provide exceptional service and comfort.

Duties

Clean and sanitise guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to the highest standards.
Change bed linens, towels, and other amenities as required.
Restock supplies such as toiletries and cleaning products.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
Assist with laundry duties when necessary.
Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and used safely.
Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing cleaning tasks.
Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest requests efficiently.

Requirements

Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties, including lifting and moving items as needed.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
