Full job description

Job Overview

Full-time/Part-time or Apprenticeship role considered

Hours between 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday (up to 42.5 hours per week)

We are looking for a motivated and reliable team player with a real desire to deliver a high standard of customer service in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities include processing customer orders by phone and face to face, completing payment transactions, advising customers on products, processing incoming and outgoing goods and ordering goods from suppliers.

Applicants should be:

Friendly and enthusiastic

IT literate

Numerically accurate

Physically capable of carrying car parts and consumables

Smart and tidy

Motor parts or motor mechanical knowledge is desirable but a trainee position would be considered.

This role involves providing exceptional customer service, assisting clients in identifying and sourcing the correct vehicle parts, and maintaining an organised workspace. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, organisational abilities, and a good understanding of automotive parts although this is not essential as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop your knowledge within the automotive industry while delivering outstanding service.

Responsibilities

Greet customers courteously and assist them in locating vehicle parts efficiently
Provide expert advice on automotive maintenance and repair requirements
Process customer orders via phone, email, or in person with professional phone etiquette
Ensure the sales area remains clean, organised, and well-maintained
Liaise with suppliers to track deliveries and manage stock replenishment
Assist in resolving customer queries promptly and professionally to enhance satisfaction

Qualifications

Proven organisational skills with attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
Knowledge of automotive parts or experience in vehicle maintenance is desirable but not essential
Ability to work well within a team and independently when required
Previous experience in retail or sales environments is advantageous
