Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated full time Milker to join our small team. This role involves milking the cows twice daily on a 12 on 2 off rota starting morning milking at 5am and afternoon milking at 2:30pm. The farm has a 200 cow autumn block calving herd milked in a 24:48 swingover. This role is ideal for someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine interest in dairy farming and livestock care. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about animal husbandry. Accomodation could be available for the right candidate.

- Operate milking equipment efficiently and hygienically to ensure high-quality milk production
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on milking machinery and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of parlour areas to meet the appropriate standards
- Assist with herd related tasks such as vaccinating, vet visits, and TB testing
- Opportunity to do basic herd record keeping
- Potential to develop a solid skill set and progress into a herdsperson role
Requirements
- Prior experienceis in milking is required
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and adhere to health and safety guidelines
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and supporting team efforts
