Job Role
As a Woodworker Operative, you will be responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and finishing wooden products to high-quality standards. You will work with a variety of hand tools, machinery, and materials to create custom and production-based woodwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cutting, shaping, and assembling wood components using hand tools and machinery
- Operating woodworking machines such as saws, planers, sanders, and routers
- Sanding, finishing, and applying treatments or coatings to wooden products
- Quality-checking finished pieces to ensure they meet company standards
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment
- Collaborating with team members to meet production deadlines
- Performing routine maintenance on woodworking tools and equipment
Requirements:
- Experience in woodworking, joinery, or carpentry (preferred but not essential as all training will be provided)
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials
- A good work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
