Overview
We are opening a brand-new Luxury cafe in Shrewsbury, sister-business of our cafe FIK by Molton50 in Harrogate and Molton50 in Cheltenham. We are initially looking for a friendly and dedicated Barista and potentially a baker or patissier, for a soft opening from where we will expand our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about food and beverage preparation, who enjoy creating a welcoming environment for customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent service while preparing high-quality coffee, beverages, and baked goods in a fast-paced setting. Barista skills would be a advantage.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and drinks to high standards of quality and presentation.
Assist in the preparation of baked goods or pastries.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee bar and kitchen areas in compliance with food safety standards.
Ensure all food safety protocols are followed diligently, including proper handling and storage of ingredients.
Engage with customers courteously, providing excellent service to enhance their experience.
Restock supplies as needed, including ingredients, utensils, and packaging materials.
Operate coffee machines, ovens, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations during busy periods.

Requirements

Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or working within a restaurant or café environment is desirable.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards.
Skills in food production, baking, or culinary arts are advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is important.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively during peak hours.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly attitude towards customers and colleagues.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work shifts that may include mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required by the business schedule. This role offers an engaging environment for those passionate about hospitality and culinary arts, with opportunities for professional growth within Molton50.

Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
