Role: Retail Sales Assistant

Hours: 28 hours per week

Location: T.H. Baker, Shrewsbury

Join one of the UK's leading independent jewellery retailers, boasting over 130 years of experience in the jewellery retail industry. With 20+ high street stores and an exciting portfolio of e-commerce websites including The Jewel Hut - the popular fashion and accessories site - working for T H Baker is an exciting opportunity.

The Role

We have an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and skilled Retail Sales Assistant. You will be responsible for providing the highest level of customer service and will have proven success in achieving KPI's and targets in a similar role. You will lead by example, promote a strong team spirit and ensure everyone is focused on customer experience and satisfaction.

You will report to the Branch Manager who will support you in achieving operational goals and standards. This position will require weekend working and hours to suit the needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities

able to demonstrate a track record of achieving targets and KPI's
ensure excellent customer service is delivered at all times
maintain high standards throughout the store
keep store and displays clean and tidy
receive deliveries and organise stock
process cash and card payments
deal with customer refunds
complete any tasks the Store or Assistant Manager delegates

Person specification

Essential skills/experience:

must be able to interact with customers in a professional manner
must be self motivated, focused and driven to succeed
target driven
able to deal with conflict
reliable
2 years sales assistant experience

Desirable skills/expertise:

retail consultative experience
direct sales
previous target and KPI achievement

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £12.75 per hour
