Full job description

We are looking for a Level 2 Group Instructor to run 2 or 3 of our outdoor bootcamps in Edinburgh on either a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday evening in The Meadows and a Thursday evening at Leith Links.

Who are Rebel PT?

We are an outdoor fitness company who run boot camps in the local parks, explore on weekends and like to inspire our members to be active by giving them an enjoyable and fun experience with exercise while working them hard.

Job Description

We are looking for passionate, positive and hard-working individuals with a love for health and fitness and an excitement for the outdoors whatever the weather.

We expect you to bring enthusiasm, motivation and passion to every session.

We are here to challenge our members into stepping outside their comfort zone and helping them achieve what they thought they couldn't. That could be fitness related or just to be part of a community. Our plan is to hopefully expand on this and influence more people in Aberdeen & Edinburgh as Rebel grows.

Our members join Rebel to lose weight, tone up and get fit but stay because they find an enjoyable community to be a part of that helps them try new things, meet new people and build themselves a supportive and encouraging community.

Roles and responsibilities

Part-time employees - hours are ad hoc, we try to give you a regular schedule that will add to 2-3 hours a week. At the moment we're looking for a trainer on a Wednesday evening at The Meadows. The classes run at 6.15-7.15pm. Also on a Thursday evening at Leith Links. The class is at 6.30-7.30pm.

The responsibilities:

Design and implement dynamic workouts
Provide fitness motivation, encouragement and education to all Rebels
Be punctual and professional
Provide high level customer service
Maintain a positive attitude and take initiative
Provide support to other Rebel trainers and work as a cohesive team in the successful running of all Rebel sessions and activities, with camaraderie and encouragement being a key part.
Keep up to date with all events and challenges going on at Rebel
Help create fun events, challenges and activities for members

Requirements

Actively identify areas where you have been part of a team in the past.
Must have the ability to prioritise and multitask within a fast-paced environment
Must be willing to initiate tasks and perform duties without direction
Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work with a wide range of personalities
Must have outstanding customer service and problem solving skills
Must have a positive, can-do attitude
Must have friendly and professional etiquette
Must have superior organisational skills
Passionate, enthusiastic, personable and driven

Qualifications:

First aid Qualified

Level 2 personal trainer

Drivers Licence

Running Rebel PT sessions allows you to use an already established brand in the community. This opens up access to other Rebel PT events that you can include your members in. These are a few we have done in the past:

Rounders, ski holidays, obstacle races, picnics, triathlons, Munro bagging, mountain biking, hiking, wild swimming, camping and so much more!

Payment

£15 per hour while training (2-4 weeks depending on experience)

£25 per hour as main trainer
