Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a deep appreciation for Japanese cuisine, exceptional knife skills, and a keen eye for presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to craft authentic sushi dishes in a dynamic environment, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Candidates must be organised, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and food safety.

Duties

Prepare and assemble sushi dishes in accordance with traditional recipes standards
Create a variety of sushi types, including nigiri, sashimi, maki rolls, and specialty items
Maintain a clean and organised work station in compliance with health and safety regulation
Uphold high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety at all time

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role within a reputable establishment
Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, ingredients, and traditional preparation methods
Excellent knife skills with precision in slicing fish and vegetables
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
Certification in food safety or HACCP is desirable but not essential
