As a Maintenance Technician, you'll take pride in maintaining high standards across both front and back-of-house areas, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, responding to repair requests and proactively identifying opportunities to improve the property. No two days are the same, so you'll need to be adaptable, practical and confident managing a variety of maintenance tasks whilst ensuring health, safety and compliance standards are always met.
The hotel is currently operating under an exclusive-use agreement with the Government, meaning day-to-day operations may differ from those of a traditional hotel environment. This presents a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic setting where flexibility, professionalism and a solutions-focused approach are highly valued.
Please note that this role will involve lone working on some shifts. Therefore, applicants must be aged 18 or over.
As a Maintenance Technician you will support the continued maintenance of the hotel. Here’s what you will be expected to do:
- Liaise with hotel management and other departments to rooms inspections
- To assess and carry out painting, redecoration, and general maintenance.
- Determine and apply the most cost-effective, durable, and high-quality decorative and repair solutions.
- Perform both planned and responsive maintenance, including preparation, repair, application, and installation work.
- Ensure workmanship meets high standards and complies with Health & Safety legislation and workplace safety requirements.
- Complete all necessary administrative tasks, including recording jobs, monitoring reports, and updating health & safety records.
- Undertake required Health & Safety trainings, as well as manual handling training, and keep supervisors informed of progress and issues.
