Full job description

Overview:
We are looking for a Sales Assistant to join our busy trade counter and hire desk in Horncastle. You will be part of a friendly, hardworking team, providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys dealing with customers, is well organised, and is happy to support in different areas of the business to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.

Working Hours:

Week 1: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 17:00
Week 2: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 17:00, + Saturday 08:00 – 14:00

Hours can be negotiated within reason.

Key Responsibilities:

Deal with customer enquiries face to face, over the phone, and by email
Process hire bookings and provide suitable equipment and product recommendations
Sell products and services, upselling where appropriate
Maintain a clean, tidy, and professional trade counter and shop area (Includes dusting and facing up stock)
Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies
Assist with preparing and checking machinery prior to hire
Processing clothing orders, customising garments

Skills & Experience:

Strong communication and customer service skills
Good organisational and time management abilities
Confident telephone manner
Basic maths skills for handling cash and processing transactions
Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment
Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn
Previous hire or sales experience is desirable but not essential
Experience with DTF Printing & Embroidery would be advantageous but not required.
