Trainee Plant Fitter – Maidenhead
About the role:
We are looking for a trainee to join our Maidenhead workshop and start a Work based NVQ in plant maintenance. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone keen to learn how to service, maintain, and repair our Static concrete Plant, and other equipment.
The role is paid at minimum wage, and after six months, if you’re competent with Level 2 duties, we’ll support you to complete the NVQ. If not, the training period can be extended until you feel confident.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting experienced engineers to service, maintain, and repair plant equipment.
- Carrying out scheduled inspections, servicing, and basic repairs.
- Following health & safety standards in the workshop and on-site.
- Helping keep the workshop and yard tidy.
- Monitoring stock of fluids and equipment.
- Delivering parts to sites and assisting fitters when needed.
- General yard and workshop duties as required.
- Occasional travel as part of the role.
What we’re looking for:
- A keen interest in mechanics and a willingness to learn.
- Methodical, reliable, and solution-focused.
- Confident working as part of a team and independently.
- Physically able to handle workshop tasks.
Hours:
- 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday
