Full job description

We are a busy bakery offering freshly baked goods, cold sandwiches, toasties, and other light snacks. We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking team member to join us. This role is hands-on and varied, with a focus on preparing food and helping the bakery run smoothly each day.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing a variety of cold sandwiches each morning for display, following portion and presentation standards

Making toasties and other hot snack items throughout the day

Prepping ingredients (e.g., chopping, slicing, cooking, portioning) to ensure smooth service

Restocking food displays and fridges throughout the day to keep them looking fresh and appealing

Receiving and checking deliveries, rotating stock, and ensuring correct storage of ingredients

Keeping prep areas, equipment, and counters clean and tidy at all times, following food hygiene standards

Assisting with daily cleaning tasks, including washing utensils, wiping down surfaces, and end-of-day deep clean

Supporting the bakery team with general tasks such as packaging, labelling, and serving customers if needed

Requirements:

Previous experience in a food prep, café, bakery, or kitchen role is an advantage (training can be given)

Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and portion sizes

Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage time well

Reliable, punctual, and a team player with a positive attitude

Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Solihull B94 6QT: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Work authorisation:

United Kingdom (preferred)

Work Location: In person
