Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Courier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of packages and documents, ensuring that all items are handled with care. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to navigate various routes efficiently. As a Courier, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to excellent service.

Responsibilities

Deliver packages and documents to specified locations in a timely manner.
Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Operate a bike, trike or van safely while adhering to all traffic regulations.
Perform basic warehouse duties, including loading and unloading items for delivery.
Handle heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to avoid injury.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries made, including obtaining signatures when necessary.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability before embarking on deliveries.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a delivery rider/driver or in a similar role is preferred.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and colleagues.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading deliveries.
A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service is highly valued.
