Responsibilities
- Operate diamond drilling machinery with precision to extract core samples from various geological formations.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of drilling equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to minimise risks during drilling operations.
- Assist with setup and dismantling of drilling rigs at different sites.
- Monitor drilling parameters and adjust operations accordingly to achieve desired results.
- Maintain detailed records of drilling activities, including depth, samples collected, and equipment used.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to project timelines.
Skills
- Proven experience in operating diamond drilling equipment or similar machinery.
- Mechanical knowledge related to maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy equipment.
- Commercial driving experience, with a valid licence preferred for transporting equipment or personnel.
- Familiarity with excavators and other construction machinery is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and adapt to changing site requirements.
- Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to follow technical instructions accurately.
