Location: Hamilton Grammar School, Auchincampbell Road, Hamilton, ML3 6PE.

Hours: 42.5 hours per week this includes hall let cover

Work Pattern: Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4pm and Monday - Friday 6pm - 9.30pm and 1 out of 4 Saturdays 9am - 12.30pm

Hourly Rate: £14.51 - £14.83 per hour

This is a temporary post until 9 October 2026

We are looking to recruit a Secondary Janitor at Hamilton Grammar School. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of all documentation relating to the janitorial and cleaning function within the premises.

The post holder will be responsible for:

Ensuring unit grounds are kept in a safe and tidy order, free from dangerous articles ensuring Health and safety of staff and visitors.
To monitor the activities of lessee’s and contractors reporting any issues to line manager.
To log, monitor and report all damage/faults in relation to the fabric and fixtures.
To liaise with external contractors and lessee’s, ensuring all Health and Safety and security procedures are adhered to.

To effectively communicate with the Facilities Manager; Head of Establishment/Lessee’s and Team Members to ensure the customer needs are met on a daily basis.
