Full job description

Job Summary
Part time position starting with two days a week with the opportunity to gain more. We are seeking a friendly and proactive Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, assist with daily shop operations, and ensure a welcoming environment for all visitors. This role offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in retail and customer relations within a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their enquiries
Provide information about products and services offered in the shop
Maintain the organisation and cleanliness of the shop floor and display areas
Manage stock levels, restock shelves, and organise merchandise displays
Handle transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
Assist with inventory counts and stock deliveries as required
Support team members in daily operational tasks to ensure smooth shop functioning
Communicate effectively with customers

Qualifications

Excellent communication skills
Previous experience in retail or customer service roles is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided
Friendly, approachable, and able to work well within a team environment
Organised with good attention to detail to manage stock and display arrangements effectively
Ability to work flexibly during shop hours, including weekends if required
