STUDIO ASSISTANT Studio | Maxwell Street & Simonside
We're looking for an experienced Studio Assistant to join our Studio team, working across a diverse range of sectors including bingo, promotional games, direct mail, design and print.
This is a hands-on role at the heart of our creative output — developing concepts, preparing artwork, and taking designs from brief through to print-ready files. You'll work closely with colleagues across production and account management, so clear communication and a collaborative approach are as important as your design skills.
What We're Looking For
- Solid experience in a design role, ideally within a print or production environment
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- A strong portfolio demonstrating both creative and technical ability
- The ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- A high level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Knowledge of pre-press processes is an advantage
- A degree or diploma in Graphic Design or a related field, or equivalent experience
Job Summary: The Studio Assistant will be responsible for creating high-quality designs across a range of sectors, including bingo, promotional games, direct mail, design and print. This role involves working collaboratively with internal teams to develop creative solutions for print and digital projects, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in all design outputs while meeting customer specifications and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop creative concepts and designs across multiple sectors, including bingo, promotional games, direct mail, and traditional print.
- Ensure all artwork is prepared accurately and efficiently, following brand guidelines and technical specifications.
- Work closely with the Production Team and other departments to ensure design requirements are met within project deadlines.
- Amend and refine existing artwork based on feedback from internal teams or customers.
- Maintain an organised archive of design files and assets for easy retrieval and future use.
- Ensure consistency and quality across all design outputs.
- Support the development of prototypes or mock-ups as needed.
- Keep up to date with design trends and industry developments to continuously improve creative output.
- Assist with other design-related tasks as required to support business needs, including pre-press and platemaking.

- IT Proficiency: Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with other design tools is preferred.
- Creativity: Ability to develop innovative and visually appealing design solutions that align with company and client needs.
Education and Experience:
- Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in a design role, preferably within a print or digital production environment.
- Experience working with branding guidelines and adapting designs to different formats.
- Knowledge of print production processes is desirable but not essential.
Pay: From £24,850.96 per year
