We’re now looking for an Event Venue Technician to join our team at The Catalyst in Newcastle, where you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality events and providing technical support in a vibrant, innovative environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a key member of the centre team, you’ll take the lead on AV and technical support for events, ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish. You will:
- Deliver end-to-end AV and technical support for a range of events, including hybrid and high-profile events
- Work closely with customers and speakers to plan requirements and ensure smooth delivery
- Set up, test and operate AV equipment, including pre-event checks and practice sessions
- Provide live troubleshooting and on-the-day support during events
- Support event delivery, including room setups, logistics and front-of-house coordination
- Maintain and proactively check AV systems to ensure reliability
- Work with internal teams and partners to deliver a seamless customer experience

What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who is technically confident, customer-focused and proactive in their approach.
- Strong experience working with AV systems, including conferencing and streaming platforms
- Experience supporting events and delivering a high level of service to a range of stakeholders
- A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to support the wider team
- A relevant technical qualification or equivalent experience in a similar environment

Salary: £29,000 to £31,000 per annum
