Overview
The Finance Manager will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function across the Group, ensuring financial transactions, payroll, reconciliations, cash management and reporting processes are completed accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner. The Finance Manager is responsible for maintaining financial controls, managing accounting systems, supporting commercial decision making, and ensuring company procedures and HMRC requirements are followed. The role reports directly to the Managing Director.
The Finance Manager will become the primary finance contact for the business and play a key role in strengthening financial controls, improving reporting processes and supporting the continued growth of the business. They will also act as primary contact for the external accountant to support processing of monthly management accounts and year end preparation.
The role is intended to take increasing responsibility for finance reporting, financial analysis and activities currently undertaken by an external accountant, with a structured development plan to gradually bring a number of accounting responsibilities in-house over the next 6-12 months or sooner.
The long-term objective is to progressively strengthen the internal finance function and reduce reliance on outsourced services where appropriate.
