Rentokil Pest Control Technician

We are currently seeking a Pest Control Job Technician to join our dedicated team at the South and West Wales branch, covering the Portsmouth, Southampton and Bournemouth area. If you enjoy managing your own schedule and solving unique customer problems in person, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Work-Life Balance: Full-time, permanent role, Monday to Sunday (40 hr week), with potential for up to 48 hours in the future with an increased salary. There is weekend work involved in this role due to customers' demand and OOH work including overnight sometimes.
Industry-Leading Training: Receive top-notch training to support our customers’ pest control needs.

The Role

Responsibilities Include:

Visit new and existing commercial and domestic customers, providing bird and rodent-proofing solutions, including bird netting, bird points, and rodent-proofing systems. This may also involve clearing bird fouling and rodent droppings.
Install pest control hardware, such as external bait stations, and utilize the Flexi Armour system to prevent pest ingress. Support routine inspections and assist local technicians as needed.
Manage job safety, follow risk assessments and method statements, and ensure safe working practices, especially when working at heights or in confined spaces.
As a lead technician, oversee job progression from start to finish, including ordering materials and accessing equipment, while managing day-to-day operations independently when required.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with clients, identifying pest problems, and exploring opportunities for new business, even in challenging conditions or weather.

Requirements

Requirements:

Full UK driving licence held for more than two years, with no more than six penalty points.
Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English at level C (Grade 4) or above is advantageous.
Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.
Flexibility with working patterns to support business needs.
You may be required to pass a DBS check depending on the role you have applied for
