Are you an Event Security Officer based in or around the Southampton area?

Perfect - keep reading! Code 9 Security is seeking SIA-licensed Event Security Officers to join our team. If you're ready to deliver excellent customer service, help keep people safe and contribute to well-run events, this could be the opportunity for you.

As an Event Security Officer, you'll be the face of our company. From warmly greeting guests to responding to emergencies, your role will be essential in helping every event run safely and smoothly.

We understand the importance of flexibility and work-life balance. Our shifts are designed to accommodate your other responsibilities, and we believe in creating an enjoyable work environment. With the chance to work with fantastic clients, you'll find excitement in every assignment.

As each event differs in terms of timing and requirements, our scheduling software provides complete visibility, keeping you informed about the location, event type and responsibilities. Most shifts are weekend events.

What you'll need

This role has some non-negotiable requirements. Please check you meet all of them before applying. It means we can move your application straight to interview.

Have a valid frontline SIA licence
A positive approach to providing an outstanding customer experience
Excellent communication skills
Be happy to work outside in all weathers with a smile
Live within a 45-minute drive of Southampton
Be able to provide five-year verifiable employment or education history
Be able to provide a five-year address history
Be able to provide two independent referees (not family members)

· Competitive hourly pay starting from £14.06 up to £18.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Shift pattern

We support many events throughout the summer, so flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, weekdays and weekends is important. This is perfect if you want to pick up shifts that fit into your life.

Zero-hour contract, with pay starting from £14.06 up to £18.00 per hour.

Vetting and onboarding

As part of our process, you'll need to provide a five-year verifiable employment or education history, a five-year address history and two independent referees who are not family members. You'll also be asked to declare any adverse credit history, including CCJs, IVAs or bankruptcies, and complete a three-month probationary period. Training requirements must be completed within six months. We're unable to accept applicants with unspent criminal convictions, cautions or reprimands. A DBS Disclosure will also need to be completed.
