At JN Bentley Ltd, we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Skilled Operatives to work on long-term water industry projects based in and around Southampton, with work across the wider region.

We are ideally looking for a ready-made gang of Lead Hand / Ganger with a experience Skilled Operative and General Operative who can join together, please can Lead Hand and General Operative apply on relevant applications.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid background in civil engineering and groundworks to join a well-established and growing business. You will have a proactive approach to work, health, and safety, with experience working within the water industry and carrying out general civil works, including concreting, deep drainage and pipe laying.

The Role

Reporting to the Lead Hand and Site Management, you will work as part of a site team delivering groundworks and civil engineering activities across construction sites predominantly within the water industry.

Your role will include carrying out day-to-day site activities safely and efficiently, contributing to the delivery of works to programme, and maintaining high standards of quality, productivity, and health & safety.

Candidate Specification

Proven experience working as a Skilled Operative on civil engineering or groundworks projects
Experience in general civil works, including concrete pours, deep drainage and pipe laying
Strong health & safety focus, with experience working within a reporting culture
Current CSCS / CPCS / NOCN or NPORS with NVQ and relevant plant tickets
Ability to work effectively as part of a site team
Full UK Driving Licence essential
