About the role
Allium is a specialist environmental and asbestos consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, compliant services across a range of sectors. We're seeking a highly organised Project Manager to take the lead role as an Allium Representative and support on sites which involves Asbestos Air Testing. This is a permanent contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Working alongside key clients to ensure that project progression stays on track.
- Completing daily air tests and reporting back to Allium Management and the client contact.
- Providing a watching brief throughout projects and reporting observations.
- Sampling of suspect asbestos-containing materials as required.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of asbestos and other relevant legislation, guidance and industry best practice.
- Ensuring adherence to UKAS accreditation requirements and quality management standards.
- Adherence to strict health and safety requirements on a secure site.
- Following all internal procedures and policies at all times.
- Remaining flexible as the role may evolve as the projects develop.
About you
- Demonstrable experience adhering to health and safety requirements on secure or controlled sites.
- Confident and self-motivated when working independently.
- Acts as a professional and trustworthy representative of Allium with key clients.
- Strong communicator, comfortable engaging with clients, contractors and colleagues at all levels.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail with regards to air testing and sample data reporting.
- Able to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- P403 and P404 required. P402 desirable but not essential.
Hours and location
- Southampton-based, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Working hours: 07:30–16:30 these hours may differ slightly depending on the site.
