Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Transport Manager to oversee and coordinate our transport, warehousing, and logistics support operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing transportation activities, warehouse coordination, and supply chain support functions to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team within a fast-paced environment while contributing to the operational success of the organisation.

Duties

Develop and implement effective transportation and warehouse operation strategies aligned with organisational goals.
Manage logistics coordination and maintain strong relationships with transport providers, suppliers, and third-party logistics (3PL) partners.
Oversee shipping, receiving, storage, and dispatch operations, ensuring timely and accurate movement of goods.
Utilise transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and AS400 to monitor and improve operational workflows.
Coordinate warehouse activities including inventory handling, picking, packing, loading, unloading, and forklift operations.
Monitor transport schedules and storage operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with company procedures.
Analyse operational data to identify process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce delays.
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, transport regulations, and company policies across all logistics and warehousing activities.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline transportation and storage operations while controlling operational costs.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, warehouse activities, and transportation costs for reporting and auditing purposes.

Skills

Proven experience in transport management, warehousing, logistics, or supply chain operations.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, transportation coordination, inventory management, and process optimisation techniques.
Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, including AS400.
Familiarity with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, shipping & receiving procedures, freight coordination, and storage operations.
Hands-on experience with forklift operations and warehouse equipment handling.
Excellent data analysis skills with the ability to interpret operational data and generate actionable insights.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers, transport providers, warehouse staff, and internal teams.

This role is ideal for a proactive professional committed to delivering excellence in transport and warehouse management while fostering continuous improvement within logistics and supply chain operations. Candidates with Post-Study Work visa can also apply.
