Its an exciting time to be involved in the care of people with Myasthenia Gravis as there are a lot of new emerging treatments offering significant improvements to our patients' quality of life.

This role is to support the current Myasthenia Gravis Specialist nurse, with a particular focus on the coordination and monitoring of these targeted treatments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Working alongside the Myasthenia Gravis Specialist Nurse to provide information, support and advice to all patients under the care of Wessex Neurological Centre.
Prioritise patient contacts and liaise with the multidisciplinary team to respond appropriately and give timely advice
Oversee the management of the Myasthenia infusion/targeted treatment pathway, including coordinating with admissions and day case unit, arranging and reviewing pre and post treatment blood results and ensuring follow up in place.
Contribute to patient reviews in clinic
Registered nurse with experience in neurology/neuromuscular conditions.
Desirable to have experience in caring for people with Myasthenia Gravis but not essential as training will be provided.
