Job summary
This part-time role is for a Research Nurse or Clinical Research Practitioner (CRP) to join the Memory Assessment and Research Centre (MARC) dementia clinical trial team and support delivery of the AD-SMART Trial. This includes facilitating recruitment and supporting trial delivery across less experienced sites within the Trial Dementia Framework (TDF). Sponsored by University College London (UCL), the trial will be delivered across approximately 10 UK sites, with a 45-month recruitment period and 18-month treatment duration. Around 10 core-funded staff members will form a national network of dedicated delivery staff.
The post-holder will recruit eligible participants, implement local Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) strategies to encourage participation from under-served groups, and provide support to less experienced regional sites to strengthen dementia research infrastructure.
Working within a multidisciplinary MARC team of psychiatrists, research nurses, psychologists and pharmacists, the post-holder will also support other clinical research studies involving mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and different types of dementia.
The Trust cannot offer Skilled Worker visa sponsorship for this post. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application.
