QS / Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Lead / Project Surveyor
Location: Solent
Salary: Circa £60,000 (Depending on experience) + Car Allowance + Benefits

We're a leading Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) contractor looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Project Surveyor to join our team.
We're seeking a commercially focused professional with an M&E contracting background and experience in pre-contract negotiations and the commercial management of fast-paced, multi-million-pound projects. The successful candidate will provide commercial support to project delivery teams, ensuring contractual and commercial compliance throughout the project lifecycle while working closely with the Commercial Manager and Commercial Director.
This role provides the opportunity to be part of something that will last for generations. You will be part of a team that helps design and consult on multiple projects across our business. From residential care villages, to hotels and ground breaking innovative client projects, you will be involved throughout the process.
This will often include the following activities.
Management of all commercial activities throughout design stage, assistance with compiling the tender bid for the submission of the AMP (Absolute maximum price) construction of the project and engaging with Sub-Contractors / Suppliers during this phase.
Working alongside our design, pre-construction, estimating team during the above phase, ensuring commercial coverage.
Review and negotiation of the Contract with our Client, with support from the senior management team.
Negotiation and Contract placement of the Sub-Contract Agreements with our specialist Sub-Contractors.
Preparation and submission of monthly interim valuations to our Client in line with our Contract.
Manage, value and agree variations to the Contract.
Carry out the valuation, preparation, and submission of compliant payment notices to our Sub-Contractors in accordance with the Sub-Contract Agreement.
Management and agreement of variations with our Sub-Contractors.
Agreement of final accounts upstream and downstream.
Monthly production and presentation of financial report for the project in line with the company timetable.
Review and understanding of programme, and ensure correct contractual notices are issued and as required by the Contract.
