We are recruiting for a full time Assistant Regulator (Deposit Return Scheme Team) on a permanent basis

On appointment the contracted job title will be Assistant Environmental Protection Officer.

Provides support for regulatory activities relating to the Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) administrator and obligated businesses within Scotland
Supports team members in the processing and reporting of DRS related data
Supporting DRS (SCOT) project development work including interacting with stakeholders, supporting workstream actions, supporting team members in the design and testing of operational compliance processes
Routine compliance assessment work and low level complaint response and enforcement work once DRS is operational
Responding to first level DRS enquiries

Respect for your expertise

This is a highly important role within our Regulation, Business & Environment portfolio, which means you’ll need:

Relevant experience or qualification to SCQF Level 6-7 (such as Scottish Highers or equivalent).
Effective communication skills with a range of stakeholders, preferably experience in communicating with business owners and/or members of the public
Ability to triage work and priorities, escalating risks and issues where necessary
Ability to work within a fast paced team environment
Full UK Driving Licence & Driving Essential to role
